Personally I don't think they're a must do if you haven't been to Seattle before and are having trouble deciding what to prioritize, but they're definitely worth a stop if you have the time. These falls aren't very wide but they are very tall and quite a site.
I've visited Seattle dozens of times over the years and we frequently travel on the I-90 on road trips so I'm quite amazed I'd never been here before.
